Acoustic Design Guide

Acoustic floor solutions on a sub-floor supported by steel joists

Resilient acoustic floor overlay systems designed to reduce sound transmission through steel joist and composite floors.  All of the acoustic floor systems below will meet or exceed the performance criteria set out within ADE and or RDL:

  • They may be used as a floating floor treatment over timber sub-floor supported by steel joists.
  • When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E.

Which best describes your buildings constructional requirements?
