Chris Wilson Felt & Asphalt Ltd were pleasantly surprised to discover how quick and easy the installation of a green roof could be, after fitting an Icopal sedum roof on top of a new build project in London. Comprising sedum, decking, seating and balustrades, the roof is both attractive and environmentally conscious, while giving the building’s occupants a chance to enjoy the view of central London.

However, installing such a roof in an inner city environment required serious logistical planning, including timed deliveries and road closures to allow crane offloading from Hiabs. Chris Wilson’s team worked closely both with Icopal and the Health Centre to manage the delivery process, with the result that the installation went as smoothly as possible.
