FFT5 Resilient overlay shallow platform floor system.
The simplest way of improving the airborne and impact sound performance of an existing floor is to overlay the floor with an isolating layer and a new hard wearing surface.
Monarfloor Deck 9 is an acoustic deck overlay system designed to reduce sound transmission through existing timber or new concrete floors in situations where the increase in floor height has to be kept to a minimum, once installed Deck 9 increases the floor level by only 17mm.
Monarfloor Deck 9 is a composite tongue and groove flooring system consisting of an 8mm layer of LRAC foam bonded with a high performance water based adhesive to 9mm moisture resistant MDF. Monarfloor Deck 9 may be used over 18mm chipboard, OSB board, a decking ply or concrete sub-floor.
When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber or concrete floor to meet the performance of Approved Document E of the Building Regulations & Section 5. of the Scottish Standards.
