Acoustic Bonded Resilient System For Party Floors on new-build and refurbishment projects.

Monarfloor® Tranquility reduces impact and flanking transmission through separating party floors by isolating wood and laminate floors from the concrete or timber sub floor.

Monarfloor® Tranquility is self adhesive and bonds direct to the sub-floor to reduce the impact noise whilst ensuring its robustness and it also improves the thermal comfort of the floor and can be laid in both new-build, conversion, and renovation projects.

    Product & Performance Data:
    Composition: Self adhesive composite system comprising a layer of LRAC foam sealed both sides with a polyethylene membrane
    Material Thickness: 8mm
    ΔLw (Part E) 37dB direct onto membrane 22dB with 6mm MDF overlay

    Typical value based on improvement of impact sound insulation of an ISO140-8 heavyweight standard floor. 

    Integration With Underfloor Heating:
    Application: Bonded Overlay
    Subfloor: Concrete Deck
    Underfloor Heating System: Electric Mat / Piped Water
    Application: Lay within the Screed
    Effect on heating performance: Acoustic element will give thermal insulation
    Notes: For Monarfloor Floating Floor Treatments, Underfloor Heating Systems should be laid over the Acoustic Floating Floor.

    Monarfloor LRAC foam's for most densities has a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK.

    Any Electric Underfloor Heating System must comply with the BSI 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

    All Underfloor Heating Systems must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers details.

    Any Underfloor Heating System detail must follow Monarfloor's guidance.

    Installation at a glance

    • Ensure concrete sub floor is structurally sound, clean and dry.
    • Roll out Monarfloor® Tranquility™ over the surface area. Butt tight to all perimeters.
    • After setting out the Tranquility™, it should be bonded to the sub-floor by peeling back the backing paper and adhering with the self-adhesive backing.
    • Butt tight the second layer of Tranquility™ to the first and, if required, tape the joints.
    • The wood or laminate floor can then be laid as a floating layer over Monarfloor® Tranquility.™
    • For carpet, soft coverings or files refer to Monarfloor Technical Department.
